Prof. Dr. Levent Alpay He was born in 1971 in Karadeniz Ereğli. Dr. Alpay, who graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine between 1988-1994 as the first, passed the Medical Specialization Exam in the year he graduated.
Prof. Dr. Levent AlpayIn 2001, he was appointed as the Chief Assistant to the Thoracic Surgery and Obstetrics Clinic of Zeynep Kamil Gynecology and Pediatrics Training and Research Hospital.
After working here as a Chief Assistant for many years, he received the title of Associate Professor in 2016 and continued his duty as a Professor in the Department of Thoracic Surgery and Obstetrics at the University of Health Sciences Hamidiye Faculty of Medicine in 2022.
Later, he worked as a faculty member at Üsküdar University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Thoracic Surgery and Obstetrics. Her research has mainly focused on female and male infertility, lung cancer, thoracoscopy, and mediastinoscopy.
Dr. Alpay's contributions to the scientific field are evident in the articles published in international and national refereed journals, papers presented at scientific meetings and chapters he wrote in books. Additionally, he holds memberships in important associations such as the Lung Cancer and Cancer Association (TÜBİD), the Thoracic Medicine and Surgery Association, and the Turkish Thoracic Surgery and Obstetrics Association.

He graduated from Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 1993. After completing his compulsory service in Birecik, Şanlıurfa, he started his specialty training at Süreyyapaşa Thoracic Surgery Center.
He worked at Ohio Clevand Clinic, USA, and carried out studies on Lung Cancer and Videothoracoscopic Surgery, then returned home and was appointed as chief assistant and associate professor.
After being entitled to become a "Thoracic Surgery Specialist", he started to work as a thoracic surgery specialist in the same center in the same year.
He worked on "Lung Cancer" and "Videothoracoscopic Surgery" at Clevand Clinic in Ohio, USA.
He was appointed to the "Chief Assistant" staff in the same clinic.
He received the title of "Associate Professor" and was appointed as an "education officer".
He became a "professor" at the University of Health Sciences.
Dr. Alpay, who received the title of Professor at the University of Health Sciences, has been working in the Thoracic Surgery department of Medicana Ataköy Hospital since 2023.
He has been deemed worthy of various presentations and awards by national and international scientific associations and training congresses in thoracic surgery.
